Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Bedah PABI is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism in any form is unethical and unacceptable.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, direct copying, paraphrasing without proper attribution, self-plagiarism, data plagiarism, duplicate submission, and redundant publication. All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Bedah PABI must be original and properly cite all sources used.

To ensure originality, all submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using reputable plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin / iThenticate) before entering the peer-review process. A manuscript will be considered acceptable if the similarity index does not exceed 20% in total and 5% from any single source, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used phrases.

Manuscripts that exceed the acceptable similarity threshold or contain substantial unattributed content will be rejected or returned to the authors for clarification or revision.

Authors are required to:

  • Ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published elsewhere.
  • Properly cite and reference all sources, including previously published works.
  • Clearly indicate quotations, reproduced figures, tables, or data, and obtain necessary permissions where required.

If plagiarism is identified before publication, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors will be notified. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, Jurnal Bedah PABI will take appropriate action in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, which may include issuing a correction, retraction of the article, or notifying the authors’ affiliated institutions.

Jurnal Bedah PABI treats all allegations of plagiarism seriously and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
